02:24 – A historical overview of the time between the Old Testament and the New Testament.

17:40 – There are many different ways to study Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Find a way that works for you, but be sure to read the Gospels.

24:47 – Luke introduces his message with a caution to present the things “most surely believed.”

29:24 – Matthew’s lineage of the Savior highlights five important women: Mary, Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba. These women played a vital role in the survival of Israel.

36:00 – Matthew may have purposefully listed the genealogical line of Jesus with three sets of 14, indicating to his Jewish audience that Jesus is the Davidic king.

37:34 – John the Baptist prepares the world for Jesus. Mary prepares Jesus for the world. Elizabeth and Zacharias are blessed with a son named John in their old age.

40:23 – John’s attributes exemplify ways that we can be a positive influence in the world.

50:25 – An angel comes to visit Mary in Nazareth and tells her that she will be the mother of the Son of God. He is to be named Jesus.

53:39 – Jesus is both fully God and man. Only he had the power to lay down his own life and the power to take it again.

57:25 – Mary had a sacred assignment and a significant role as the mother of the Son of God. The Book of Mormon emphasizes the precious and chosen stature of Mary.

1:03:20 – Mary’s attributes exemplify ways that we can help those we have stewardship over.
