Thanks for listening!
I’ve read a lot of commentary over at BibleCC about the story of the little children and the bears. Some thoughts that various authors make include:
-the word little children can mean someone up to their mid-20’s.
-There is no way a bunch of little kids would be allowed to go out of the city of beth-el by themselves.
-The Young Lads, as some refer to them may have been trying to get Elisha to stay out of the city because many prophets, including Elijah, were calling them out for their wickedness.
– “Go Up” may have been mocking Elisha over his saying that Elijah was taken up in a chariot of fire.
EG: why didn’t he take you too you liar?
-baldness was an insult – possible sign of leprosy.
