  3. Mike and Bryce, We have some confusion on if Aaron or others (besides Moses) had the Melchizedek or higher priesthood? And if so, was it taken away? You make passing references to this, but trying to find out where in the scriptures we would find this information for sure. Thank you for all you do!

      I think the best text you will probably get on this is section 84 of the Doctrine and Covenants. On my end (Mike Day), I tend to spend time examining these kinds of questions from a more academic perspective, and to be short in writing, what we have in the Hebrew Bible is essentially differing viewpoints regarding who the authorized representatives of God happen to be. This shouldn’t surprise us, as Christianity has been having this argument historically for hundreds of years. So to see these things reflected in the Hebrew Bible is to be expected.
