Hi Mike & Bryce,
I thoroughly enjoy your podcast. Thank you so much for the time, study, and effort you put into it each week. I remember reading somewhere a couple years ago that some of the dates in church history correspond with ancient Jewish holidays/feasts. I don’t know very much about that topic, so I was wondering if there really is a correlation. Are you aware of very much info on that subject? Thank you for your help!
Hi Mike and Bryce,
I asked a question yesterday, and I found the answer today. I like to listen to multiple Come, Follow Me podcasts. I asked about any significance with restoration dates and Jewish feasts dates. They addressed this topic in the Book of Mormon Central podcast this week. Super interesting. I love that you all have different insights and bring different ideas to the table. All of you are helping me understand the scriptures in greater depth. Thank you again for your help!
Glad you found your answer! Lenet Hadley Read has done some excellent work on this. I love Book of Mormon Central, their stuff is stellar. Nice choice in podcasts! If they did not cite or give you any of Lenet’s stuff, check this out: The Golden Plates and the Feast of Trumpets. This is also excellent: Joseph Smith’s Receipt of the Plates and the Israelite Feast of Trumpets. She also has a book out called “The Lord’s Holy Days: Powerful Witnesses of Truth.” Every time I read her stuff, I walk away happy. Cheers!
