D&C 88:45-59 Jesus Christ has created & atoned for worlds

788:45-59 The Savior is the visitor of all worlds – what is the field?  The universe… how do we know he is talking about worlds and not individuals?  Verse 61 – “all these kingdoms, and the inhabitants thereof”  – he visits every one of these in their turn… are there only twelve worlds?  No- there are infinite worlds…

The context of this parable is that it is our turn and our time is coming!  Where would I get an example of what the Savior’s “world tour” visit would be like?  Read the 3 Nephi account to see what this kind of visit would be like…

Elder McConkie stated: Further, the gospel is in operation in all the worlds created by the Father and the Son.  Their work and their glory, in all the infinite creations that their hands have made, is to bring to pass immortality and eternal life for the children of the Father.  Through the atonement of Christ, the inhabitants of all these worlds have power to become his sons and daughters, to become joint-heirs with him of all the glory of his Father’s kingdom, to be adopted into the family of the Father, which is to say that the inhabitants of all worlds Aare [thus] begotten sons and daughters unto God. (D&C 76:24) (Bruce R. McConkie, The Promised Messiah, p. 286)

President John Taylor said:  It would appear that the translated residents of Enoch’s city are under the direction of Jesus, who is the Creator of worlds: and that He, holding the keys of the government of other worlds, could, in His administrations to them, select the translated people of Enoch’s Zion, if He though proper, to perform a mission to these various planets, and as death had not passed upon them, they could be prepared by Him and made use of through the medium of the Holy Priesthood to act as ambassadors, teachers, or messengers to those worlds over which Jesus holds the authority…Each kingdom, or planet, and the inhabitants thereof, were blessed with the visits and presence of their Creator, in their several times and seasons. (John Taylor, The Mediation and Atonement, pp. 76-77)

President Marion G. Romney once said:  Except for his mortal ministry accomplished on this earth, his service and relationship to other worlds and their inhabitants are the same as his service and relationship to this earth and its inhabitants. (Marion G. Romney, Jesus Christ: Lord of the Universe, IE1968 Nov. :46)

Even though He was so busy, how did he treat the Nephites?  Did he act like He was in a big hurry and didn’t have time for them?  No- he had all the time in the world for that group of people… very personal, he has all the time in the world for these people…

So because your turn is coming- verse 62, I want you to be prepared for my coming, so it is important for you to be ready.
